Skin Treatments

Before any skin treatment:

1. Shower or wash your face before your appointment. Apply a moisturizer/spf50. Please do not apply make up.

2. Do not scratch your face, pick on your pimples or ingrowns. Nitpicking on your skin will cause inflammation and will therefore limit any further treatment.

3, Please do not come in with sunburnt skin, a fresh tattoo, or any open wound on the service area. Skin analysis will always be done before any treatment for the safety of both the client and aesthetician.

Aftercare:

1. Avoid putting on makeup or other facial products for at least 6 hours after your treatment.

2. Avoid picking at your skin or use abrasive skincare products like scrubs for at least 72 hours after your treatment. It is normal to experience slight redness after a facial, or itching after an extraction. It’s important to let your skin repair itself after undergoing a facial treatment. Touching your face or scrubbing your skin will worsen it.

3. Stay away from direct heat for up to 48 hours after your treatment. Direct heat can include sunbeds, saunas or hot spas. It is best to avoid suntanning on the beach right after a facial as well, as your skin is completely raw and vulnerable during this time, and may not be well-protected against the sun’s harmful UV rays.

4. Only go for one facial or skincare treatment at a time. This is crucial, regardless of the areas of your skin that are treated. Besides letting your skin breathe, setting a reasonable window of time between facial treatments of at least 48 hours is important. This can help your skin adapt to the first facial treatment and allow it to repair and heal properly before the next treatment.

5. Refrain from smoking or drinking alcohol for up to 72 hours after your treatment. The smoke from cigarettes contain particles that can clog your pores, and after a facial treatment your facial pores are almost always larger and can easily trap smoke particles. This can worsen your skin condition even if you have just had a treatment.
Similarly, alcohol contains compounds that can affect your skin and accelerate the aging process. Stay clear of harmful substances after a facial treatment and the benefits of your facial will last longer.

On top of applying the above-mentioned tips, here are some additional skincare advice that you can consider to maintain healthy-looking skin in the long run!

● Continue your skincare routine: cleanse, tone and moisturise.
